This guide walks through the one-time configuration required to enable TechWolf as a data source, link the integration user to it, and mark the TechWolf data source as trusted, so the TechWolf - SAP SuccessFactors integrations run end-to-end without a manual review step for every update. More information can be found in the SAP Help Portal .
If your SAP SuccessFactors tenant does not expose the Manage Data Sources task or a Manage Skills Governance section under Manage Talent Intelligence Hub, your release predates these controls and no additional setup is needed for now. This setup may still become required in future releases.

Prerequisites

  • You have already created the TechWolf_TIH_GP integration user and the OAuth2 Client Application, and assigned the base Permission Role to the user (see the Installation guide for your integration).
  • The SAP administrator performing this setup has, or can be granted, permissions to manage Talent Intelligence Hub settings. See the SAP Help Portal page on Permissions Required for Using Talent Intelligence Hub for the complete list. In practice, granting all permissions under Administrator Permissions → Manage Talent Intelligence Hub Settings covers everything needed for the steps below.

Activate the TechWolf data source

In the search bar at the top of SAP SuccessFactors, enter Manage Data Sources and open the task.In the list of registered data sources, locate the TechWolf entry and set its status to Active. Other data sources in the list can remain inactive; only the TechWolf data source needs to be active for this integration.See Managing Data Sources on the SAP Help Portal for reference.

Assign the integration user to the TechWolf data source

In the search bar at the top of SAP SuccessFactors, enter Manage Talent Intelligence Hub and open the task.Navigate to General Configurations → Settings → Manage Users for Data Sources. For the TechWolf data source, click Add and search for the TechWolf_TIH_GP user. Select it and save.See Settings Page on the SAP Help Portal for reference.

Mark TechWolf as a trusted data source

Still on the Manage Talent Intelligence Hub page, open General Configurations → Settings → Manage Skills Governance.Mark the TechWolf data source as trusted. With this flag set, skill updates coming from TechWolf don’t require additional manual review within SAP.See Settings Page on the SAP Help Portal for reference.
